Brand makeup?

I have list of makeup my friend gave me to use for my cosplay which consist if -Eye primer -Neutral eye shadow pallette -Black mascara -Orange liquid eye liner -And black liquid eye liner I have never used makeup before in my life so when it comes to knowing which brands are the best to go for and which ones I should avoid I don’t really know. Anyone have recommendations I don’t want nothing crazy expensive
