I posted this in r/nfl last week after the TNF game but thought it'd be better suited here given our familiarity with the two. Thursday night's game reminded of a 2021 Chargers game; phenomenal offensive/QB performance negated by horrific defensive play. I've seen a lot of comments that Burrow would be the MVP if it weren't for his defense, and don't seem to remember Herbert getting any of that support in 2021 (only took three years of bad defense and a heartbreaking playoff game to get people's attention of the malpractice Holding 10 and the bolts back).
I'm not a Burrow hater, I think him and Herbert are both fantastic and whoever has more support will lead a better team (crazy how a team sport works). I just find it interesting that Joe looks to be entering what Herbert dealt with throughout the start of his career and vise-versa for Justin. Pumped for Sunday night and hope we light up that Bengals defense
