How do i get this thick adhesive off?????

I took off the plates fender flares (2022 bmw m240i xdrive with the ztk package) And it left this residue from the adhesive. i thought it’d be easier to take off but ive tried multiple things such as 3m adhesive remover, goof off and wd40 and nothing worked. HELP!!!!
