Looking for lighting setup adjustment advice
Hey guys - we have a 120 gallon / 4x4x2 tank for our beardie who is about 8 months old; had him for 3 months so far.
We have 2x 100 watt bulbs, a T5 UVB 10.0 fixture - 600 mm version (I measured) and an LED light. As you can see by the attached diagram, we originally had the two head lamps side by side to give the "hot" area a nice 100-104 degree temperature, with the UVB light angled further out along with the LED light.
Today, for the first time, we noticed our beardie having the slightest of tremors! He is fed with calcium and vitamins (has always been fed that way) and has been otherwise healthy and very active. So the very light head tremors were a surprise. I've been reading that it could be a combination of improper calcium/vitamin balance (which, again, we balance pretty well) but also possibly lack of proper lighting. He likes to bask primarily on the cave (top left) or on the big fat log. I am wondering if changing the lighting setup to the proposed arrangement would be better than the original? All the lighting equipment sits on top of the tank; the mesh cover has fairly large openings so it's not obstructing.
Thanks!!
