End of first trimester
I had my 12-week scan yesterday, and it was such a heartwarming experience. The doctor was incredibly sweet and comforting. He made an effort to show me my baby's hands, legs, and even the tiny thumb. At one point, when my baby was lying face down, he had me roll on the bed to wake him/her up. It was such a funny moment, rolling around on the doctor's bed just to get a good scan of the nose! He even tried to do a 4D scan for us, but unfortunately, we couldn't get a clear picture.
The good news is that the initial reports look positive, but I’m still waiting on my dual marker blood test results, which will take a few more days. As for how I’m feeling, it’s a mix of emotions. I’m just trying to take one step at a time.
We haven't told anyone except our parents yet. To be honest, I'm not even sure I'm ready to share the news widely. I don't know what's holding me back, but I feel like I want to take things really slow. Is anyone else on the same page as me? I’m almost at the end of my first trimester and would love to hear from others who might be feeling similarly.
