Issue with Unworn Market Dress

Hi everyone!

I bought the Market Mini dress about four months ago in anticipation of the summer. Since it was cold, I didn’t take it out to wear until yesterday. I immediately noticed extremely bad discolouration in the bodice part of the dress - it’s a paler colour, and seems a little shiny. It appears to be elastic thread shining through.

Has anyone had something similar happen? I literally haven’t worn it once - I’ve washed it on cold, as I do with all my new clothing, and air dried.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’m extremely bummed, I love how it looks and I spent a decent amount on it.
