Achaemenid Imperial Coinage - A Visual Timeline

Follow up to my post earlier this month. Type I arrived in the mail today. The complete set of Sigloi with ALL known reverse siglos variations will be posted as promised once I get those next week.

However this is a full set of obverses. If you laid out when each Siglos type was produced chronologically, this is pretty close to how it would look.

The pair at the top right are plated fakes. Gotta give some credit to the guys that tried to forge these. The forgery on the left would have fooled me were it not for the silver plating having worn off. Major props to that now long dead soul who tried.

Lest someone brand new to the sub sees this. Please know, this is what 20 years of trying and failing more often than succeeding looks like.
