my parents are too overprotective

i (21f) am in college and i have had a situation going on with a guy for months now. we both know we are bad for each other and it is genuinely not a big deal. we both use each other for sex and don’t want anything beyond a sexual relation. i just went over to that guy’s place and i planned on sleeping there until my mother started texting me. she told me she is extremely angry and she talked to my dad and they plan on picking me up from college and bringing me home.

i honestly do not think it is as serious as they make it out to be. they said i lied about not going out on weekdays which i don’t think counts as lying if i told them beforehand that i will be going out. they started talking about how they want to bring me home and i cannot do this on my own and i cannot be trusted around him.

i personally think they are overreacting because it is not as deep as they think it is. all we did was talk since we end up in the same setting often because of mutual friends and that is all there is to say about that. what do i do about my parents being insane about this???
